Why I'm the right person to guide you.
I'm an ICU RN turned Informatics Nurse with 15+ years of real-world informatics experience and a total of more than 20 years in healthcare.
I've had the opportunity to work at some of the finest academic medical centers in the U.S. to implement numerous EHR projects, improve clinician workflows, and support patient safety.
I've had amazing Nursing Informatics jobs that enabled me to have a mostly hybrid remote (aka work from home) work arrangment, giving me the the opportunity to spend significant time at home during my daughter's key formative years. This was priceless to me and my family.
When I landed my first Nursing Informatics job, I did not have a master's degree, certification, prior experience, or network to guide me. What I did have was a highly analytical mind that connected the dots and identified patterns - this enabled to me to develop a system that I used to land my first 3 jobs in Nursing Informatics at top health systems. In subsequent jobs, I was internally recruited to be Programs & Solutions Manager and from there promoted to Clinical Informatics Manager.
I've now been Epic certified in a clinical module (OpTime) and proficient in a non-clinical module (Security) for many years.
I have been on both sides of the hiring process. I know what it feels to search, find, analyze, and apply for not just one but 3 Nursing Informatics jobs. When I became a hiring manager later on, I reviewed hundreds of resumes and interviewed dozens of applicants, not just for Nursing Informatics job openings but also for Business and Clinical Analyst, project manager, and contract roles.
I was able to hire, orient, and mentor amazing Informatics Nurses in my full time job as a Clinical Informatics Manager. Over the years, I've also helped many other nurses launch their own careers in Nursing Informatics or health tech using the structured, repeatable system that I developed.
I understand how nurses think and how health tech teams think. I know the skills that matter, the language that lands, and the steps that help a clinician move into a strategic informatics role.
This program came to life because I wished that something like this existed when I was trying to switch into informatics.
I'm excited to share my knowledge, skills, insights and wisdom with fellow nursing professionals who are open and eager to absorb new information, and more importantly, invest in themselves by taking the time and effort to implement what they learn.
My personal philosophy that permeates all that I do is: I lift as I climb.
If you want clarity, direction, and a way to move into informatics with structure and intention, you're in the right place.
Fatima Sharon Gatela, MBA, BSN, RN
You're ready for something different. You just need a real path.
You already understand the clinical world.
You know workflows.
You know what makes care safe and what makes it stressful.
And you know you want a role that allows you to think, solve problems, design better systems, and work in a more flexible way.
But when you look up informatics or health tech roles online, it can feel overwhelming.
• Too many different job titles
• Tech terms that feel unfamiliar
• Confusion about where you fit
• Not knowing what is truly required
• Not knowing how to start without going back to school
The truth is that many nurses already have pieces of what these roles need.
What you need now is clarity, strategy, and support.
This training gives you that.
I went from the minimum bedside nursing experience to landing a remote job — thanks to TheInformaticsNurse.
This Nursing Informatics accelerated training program gave me the tools to translate my clinical experience into a resume that truly stood out for remote and tech-forward roles.
Fatima taught me how to communicate my clinical experience in a way that clicked with remote healthcare employers.
The course was clear, practical, and empowering.
If you're a nurse looking to make the leap from bedside to beyond, this is where you start.

— Leslie Ann, RN
Fatima's course came into my life at the perfect time.
I was at a crossroad in my career and I was not sure what to do next.
I had been following Fatima on Instagram and one night I saw that she had openings for her next cohort.
I decided to invest in myself and I am glad I did!
Fatima made me realize that bedside nurses do have transferable skills to become informatics nurses.
I highly recommend taking this course as it opened my mind and gave me the confidence to pivot my career in a new direction.

— Claudia Romero, BSN, RN
Working with Fatima Gatela has been an incredibly transformative experience for my nursing informatics (NI) career.
As a seasoned RN stepping into the world of nursing informatics, I felt overwhelmed by new systems, workflows, and various aspects of the NI market.
Fatima brought clarity, confidence, and structure to my learning process. Her ability to coach me in restructuring my resume to reflect my skills in NI made all the difference.
What stood out most was her deep understanding of both clinical practice and technology, allowing her to bridge the gap in a way that truly resonated. With Fatima’s support I developed strategic thinking in areas like EHR optimization and change management, and applied it to rebuilding my resume.
Thanks to her coaching, I obtained my first role as a Nursing Informatics Specialist.
With Fatima’s help, I was equipped to lead informatics initiatives in my organization and contribute meaningfully to improving patient outcomes through technology. Fatima continues to support my professional growth as I prepare to transition into the next chapter.
I highly recommend Fatima Gatela to any nurse looking to make the transition into this vital and evolving field.

— Juliana DeJesus, MSN, RN, OCN
Enrolling in Fatima's training program was one of the best decisions I've made.
Fatima is a great mentor! She helped me go from feeling discouraged about job hunting, to feeling confident and ready for interviews.
As a home health nurse, I felt that I didn't have the skills or experience that other inpatient nurses do before transitioning into an informatics role.
However, this program helped me realize that I already have some of the skills and experience needed to be an informatics nurse, I just didn't know it.
I also learned many new concepts from this course that will not only be helpful in a future informatics role but are also applicable in my current role.
I highly recommend this program to anyone looking to be an informatics nurse!

— Thu Nguyen, BSN, RN
My search for a nurse informatics position was a nineteen-month anguish-filled journey after I graduated with an MSN in informatics. I had a lot of initial interviews and panel interviews, albeit no offers.
I was very close to enrolling in an FNP program due to the angst from many failed attempts when I crossed paths with TheInformaticsNurse.
The weekly coaching seminars and exercises helped me discover myself, optimise my CV, arm me with interview strategies and talking points, and most importantly instill confidence, and perseverance towards my career goals.
After another round of interviews, I had the unique problem of choosing one of the two job offers I received.
I believe the knowledge gained with this coaching program monstrously augmented my qualities as a potential candidate.

— Mark Siaotong, MSN, RN
The Nursing Informatics Now training program was an amazing, positive and transformational experience! It increased my self-confidence and allowed me to refine and build upon previous informatics skills in multiple areas.
We were able to network with other fellow nurses with similar goals within our group and learn from each other. Fatima was so inspirational, encouraging and a great mentor.
I was able to learn how to revise my resume and showcase my strengths in an impactful way.
This allowed me to gain confidence and begin exploring areas of informatics where I saw myself in the future. The program built upon skills learned in previous weeks and how to apply them in informatics.
After completing this course, I had the tools to begin the next chapter in my career.
I highly recommend this course!

Have questions about our services? You're in the right place!
This training is designed for U.S.-licensed Registered Nurses (RNs) who are ready to take the next step in their career journey. That might mean you’ve already been an EHR superuser, supported chart audits, joined a committee, participated in a special project, or taken additional classes — and now you’re looking for structured guidance and a clearer path forward.
At this time, the program does not enroll international nurses, non–U.S.-licensed RNs, or LPNs/LVNs, as the roles, requirements, and career pathways we cover are specific to U.S.-based Nursing Informatics and health-tech positions for registered nurses.
Ideally, you have 3 or more years of clinical RN experience, even if your current role is non-clinical. You’re still welcome to join with at least 1 year of clinical RN experience, with the understanding that your transition timeline may be longer, since most entry-level Nursing Informatics roles in the U.S. list 3 years of experience as a typical requirement.
Many nurses take this program alongside their MSN in Nursing Informatics to gain real-world context, while others join to explore whether Nursing Informatics or Healthcare Technology aligns with their strengths, interests, and long-term goals.
Unlike generic “career pivot” courses, this training is led by an Informatics Nurse with over 15 years of real-world experience in the specialty—someone who’s worked on both sides of the hiring process, as a candidate and as a hiring manager. This is an interactive, guided course, which means you’ll have the chance to ask questions, get direct feedback, and take the guesswork out of your next steps.
Some other programs may share surface-level content or untested advice from people with limited experience in the field. This course is different. Every strategy, template, and example here comes directly from real-world informatics work and firsthand hiring experience—what truly matters in practice, not just theory.
The lessons go far beyond lists of “possible jobs” in health tech. You’ll learn concrete, practical skills that not only help you stand out during the application process but also prepare you with essential skills once you’re in the role. This program gives you a grounded, insider view of what success actually looks like in Nursing Informatics and Healthcare Technology.
Good news! No programming experience is required! Basic computer literacy is enough. It’s helpful if you’re comfortable using word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation tools such as Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, or Apple apps.
This program provides you with practical tools, strategies, and insider guidance to help you become a strong, competitive candidate—but your results depend on your background, effort, and goals. Because each nurse’s path is unique, we can’t guarantee job placement. What we can promise is a clear roadmap, valuable industry insight, and mentorship to help you move forward with greater clarity and confidence.
No problem! This program was built with real nurses’ schedules in mind. If you’re on shift or have other commitments, you can watch the recordings, complete assignments, and submit them for feedback during the same week.
Short “lightning” coaching sessions are also offered periodically to help you stay on track and get the support you need.
That said, nurses who attend at least 50% of the live sessions typically see stronger results—thanks to the real-time interaction, peer learning, and live feedback. Do your best to attend as many sessions as you can; every session builds on the last and helps accelerate your growth.
However, we love when nurses refer their friends! If you and a friend both enroll (whether in the same cohort or not), you’ll each receive a referral discount: $50 off for programs priced between $600–$1,000, or $100 off for programs between $1,001–$1,999.
Please your friend know to email [email protected] and provide your name as the referring nurse before signing up.
You’ll receive a combination of group guidance, personalized feedback, and access to resources that help you apply what you learn.
Live sessions include Q&A opportunities, and optional “lightning” coaching sessions give you time for direct, focused feedback. You’ll also gain access to a supportive learning community of like-minded nurses who share tips, encouragement, and accountability along the way..
We understand that life happens—especially for nurses with demanding schedules. If an unexpected situation prevents you from completing the program, you have the option to cancel within 14 calendar days after the first live session—no questions asked.
Beyond that window, we’re unable to offer refunds. However, you may request to defer your enrollment to a future cohort within one year, subject to availability.
Our goal is always to help you get the most from your investment, and we’ll do our best to accommodate your needs if circumstances change.
Many nurses choose to continue their growth journey after completing the program. By enrolling in this training, you’ll have the option to book additional private coaching sessions outside of the Group Training and its bonuses at a special 50% discounted hourly rate for up to one full year after program completion. This gives you continued access to personalized guidance as you apply what you’ve learned and move closer to your career goals.
You’ll have up to 14 calendar days after the program begins on July 12, 2026 to change your mind. If an unexpected situation comes up or you decide it’s not a fit, you’ll receive a full refund - no questions asked.
The 3 ebooks and access to 1 online mini-course for one year are yours to keep, either way. ($198 value)
